Healthshine’s Evacuation/Stair Chair can be used for evacuating people who find difficulty in mobility, especially in emergency situations. This can be accomplished with only one operator. The Evacuation/Stair Chair ensures safety for the user with a safety buckle system, an adjustable/removable head pad with patient restraint, and a sling-style seat, so that the user is safeguarded. The wheels of this chair are supported by specially designed friction belts, which prevent the chair from slipping or accelerating too quickly while descending stairs. The weight and load distribution of the chair ensures that both the user and the operator have a smooth and comfortable descent. The leg and back bars of the chair are padded for user comfort.
