Healthshine’s Knee Hammer is mainly used to induce responses while examining reflexes in deep tendon regions. This hammer can also be used for performing chest percussion tests and other neurological diagnoses for detecting abnormalities. To induce myotatic reflexes and impact precise tendon locations, the soft base and round apex of the hammer are ideal. The Knee Hammer has a PVC handle and a solid latex rubber head. The ergonomically scalloped handle base allows for more hand control during percussion, and the pointed tip is designed to elicit superficial or cutaneous reflexes, such as plantar and abdominal reflexes.
