The Sugita head frame is a neurosurgery workstation and head fixation device that has many uses, including:
  • Aneurysm, AVM, and tumor surgery: Ideal for these types of surgeries

  • Intraoperative angiography: The radiolucent carbon fiber construction allows for x-ray angiography during surgery 
  • Microneurosurgery: Can be used as an auxiliary operating device 
The Sugita head frame has several features, including:
  • Lightweight: The frame is strong, rigid, and lightweight 
  • Retraction options: Has several retraction options 
  • Head holder: The patient’s head is secured in the head holder using 3 or 4 head pins 
  • Basal frame: The basal frame has five separate positions spaced at 35° angles where self-retaining retractors can be attached 
  • Hand rests: The angle and height of the hand rests are adjustable 
  • Instrument receptacle: The insulated instrument receptacle can be used to retain bipolar forceps, hemostatic forceps, suction tubes, or other micro-surgery instruments
